LUNG CANCER CARE · CASE REVIEW
If you have lung cancer and need clarity about the next step, call us.
Sunridge reviews whether the diagnosis is non-small-cell or small-cell lung cancer, the stage, pathology, biomarker testing, previous treatment, response and current health.
Our whole-person assessment also considers underlying health factors that may influence treatment tolerance, resilience and recovery.
Questions are welcome. Speaking with our Patient Care Team does not obligate you to begin treatment.
Your first call with our Patient Care Team is free. We can explain the consultation process and records needed.
Non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) require different treatment conversations. Histology, Stage 3 or Stage 4 status, molecular findings, PD-L1 status and previous response can substantially affect the available standard options.
CARE ACROSS THE CANCER JOURNEY
Many patients contact Sunridge after previous treatment because their cancer has returned or progressed. Our physicians take another careful look at the current disease, prior treatment and response, pathology, biomarkers, immune function and overall health before discussing treatment options that may be appropriate. When clinically relevant, this evaluation may include specialized immune-function laboratory testing and testing for environmental or chemical exposures. Sunridge also offers physician-directed cancer-risk assessment, prevention planning and genetic testing.

LUNG CANCER QUESTIONS
The appropriate options depend on the exact diagnosis, stage, pathology, molecular findings, previous treatment, response, lung function and overall health. A physician must review the individual record before recommending care.
Depending on stage and tumor characteristics, standard options may include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy or a combination. Biomarker and PD-L1 results can be especially important when reviewing systemic-treatment choices.
SCLC is often discussed according to whether it is limited-stage or extensive-stage disease, along with previous treatment, response, symptoms and overall health. Treatment sequencing can differ substantially from NSCLC and requires an individualized physician review.
Helpful records commonly include the pathology report, imaging reports and images, staging information, molecular or biomarker testing, PD-L1 results when available, prior treatment summaries, medication lists and recent laboratory results.
The answer varies by cancer type, stage, molecular features, overall health and response to treatment. Some early-stage cancers may be treated with curative intent, while advanced disease may require ongoing treatment and monitoring. A records-based consultation can provide context for an individual situation without making guarantees.
Depending on the diagnosis, standard options can include surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy. The right sequence and combination depend on the individual case and should be reviewed with the treating oncology team.
