You Have Alternative Options For Bladder Cancer Treatment

Bladder cancer is the most common malignant tumor found in the urinary tract. The most common form of bladder cancer is called transitional cell carcinoma and accounts for 90% of all cancers of the bladder. Transitional cells are those that line the inside of the bladder. Bladder cancer will affect over 55,000 people this year, 75% of them men. It is the fourth most common cancer in men and in the top eight cancers diagnosed in women. The reason for this is not known, however according to the National Cancer Institute, bladder cancer has a higher prevalence in Western countries. Although symptoms may appear relatively quickly, bladder cancer can in fact take many years to develop.

Alternative Bladder Cancer Treatment

4 main types of Bladder Cancer:

  • Transitional Cell Carcinoma
  • Squamous Cell Carcinoma
  • Adenocarcinoma
  • Papillary

At this time, the 5-year relative survival rate for patients with localized bladder cancer is 95%. If the cancer is regional, the 5-year survival rate is 50%. If the bladder cancer has metastasized to other organs, the 5-year survival rate drops to only 6%. Prognosis is also influenced by factors such as size of the tumor, number of tumors, tumor grade, histology, time of recurrence and detection of normal cell antigens.  Many resources are available at Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network.

Alternative Bladder Cancer Treatment

The problem with the standard approach to cancer care is that it focuses almost completely on the cancer alone. Not enough attention is placed on enhancing the body’s natural cancer-fighting abilities and on the underlying disease condition that led to the cancer in the first place.

At Sunridge Medical, our highly-trained physicians are experts in providing an integrated approach to the alternative treatment of bladder cancer. Our treatment plans are individualized, even for patients with the same type of cancer, and involve both traditional and alternative medicines. We have integrated advanced, research-based alternative medicines with conventional therapies into a comprehensive, individualized treatment program that offers patients optimal success.

Our physicians have found that symptoms can frequently be improved and even reversed with our natural alternative bladder cancer treatments. We take a holistic approach to patient care and strive to not only treat the cancer, but also alleviate symptoms, increase quality of life and most importantly, address the underlying cause of the disease.

Even if standard treatments have reached their limits, patients with bladder cancer still have treatment options.
