Array 14 - Mucosal Immune Reactivity
CyrexWhat this laboratory test evaluates
This test measures total and specific salivary IgA against 25 different antigens that are major components of the GI tract or are introduced into it. It detects the overall integrity of the mucosal immune system, also known as our body’s first line of defense. It also detects early events associated with broken oral tolerance to many external and internal factors that are involved in the induction of leaky gut, food and chemical immune reactivity, and autoimmunity. It detects early signs and signals of autoimmunities before their appearance in the blood.
Collection and processing
- Sample type: Saliva
- Fasting: No
- Estimated laboratory processing: Results should arrive 14 business days after the lab receives samples.
How Sunridge uses laboratory information
Sunridge considers the medical question, symptoms, history, medications, prior results, and whether the finding could change care before recommending testing. A laboratory result is not interpreted in isolation and does not establish a diagnosis by itself.
Before requesting this test
Availability, collection requirements, eligibility, and processing estimates can change. Sunridge reviews each request and, when appropriate, creates the order through Fullscript. Follow the current instructions supplied with the approved order.
