Heart Disease & Integrative Cardiovascular Care

A thoughtful heart-health plan begins with your diagnosis, symptoms, medications, cardiology records and the risks that can actually be changed.

Sunridge provides supportive integrative care alongside necessary primary and cardiovascular medicine. We do not ask patients to choose between conventional treatment and whole-person care.

Start With the Actual Cardiovascular Diagnosis

“Heart disease” includes different problems: coronary artery disease, prior heart attack, heart failure, rhythm disorders, valve disease, high blood pressure and elevated cardiovascular risk. They are not treated the same way.

Sunridge reviews the established diagnosis, symptom pattern, family history, smoking or nicotine exposure, blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, kidney health, sleep, nutrition, movement, body composition, medications and prior testing. The goal is to understand which factors matter most for this patient—not to attribute every concern to inflammation or one laboratory result.

Known cardiovascular disease

Bring cardiology notes, imaging, procedure reports, recent ECG information and a current medication list.

Prevention and risk

A clinician-patient risk discussion can guide decisions about lifestyle, blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes care and medication.

Symptoms that need clarification

Exercise intolerance, palpitations, swelling, dizziness or breathlessness may require conventional testing before supportive care.

Daily function

Sleep, stress, activity, nutrition and treatment side effects can affect how well a person functions with cardiovascular disease.

Build the Plan Around Proven Cardiovascular Priorities

The strongest foundation is not a proprietary supplement protocol. It is a coordinated plan for the risks and treatments that have the best evidence, made workable for the person living with them.

  • Use a sustainable eating pattern rich in vegetables, fruits, legumes, nuts, whole grains and appropriate protein
  • Build movement toward the level that is safe for the diagnosis and current ability
  • Address tobacco or nicotine exposure directly
  • Manage blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, kidney health and weight with the appropriate clinicians
  • Review sleep apnea, chronic stress, medication tolerance and barriers to following the plan

Supplements, nutrition support or clinic therapies are considered only after checking for interactions, bleeding risk, blood-pressure effects, kidney function and compatibility with prescribed treatment.

Testing Should Answer a Clinical Question

Standard information often provides the greatest value: accurate blood-pressure readings, lipid testing, glucose or A1c, kidney function, medication monitoring and the cardiology studies appropriate to the diagnosis. In selected prevention cases, a validated risk calculator or coronary artery calcium discussion may help refine a decision.

Additional testing is useful only when the result could change management. Sunridge explains why a test is being ordered, what a high or low result would mean and what decision follows from it. Testing does not replace symptoms, examination or cardiology evaluation.

Bring your complete list. Prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines, herbs and supplements can interact. Do not stop aspirin, a statin, blood-pressure medicine, an anticoagulant or another heart medication based on website information.

Integrative Care Should Strengthen—Not Fragment—Heart Care

Patients sometimes reach Sunridge because they want more time to discuss nutrition, energy, recovery or medication tolerance. That can be valuable while still protecting cardiology follow-up and guideline-directed treatment.

When appropriate, Sunridge can help organize records, define supportive goals and communicate what is being added to the plan. A supplement or infusion is never presented as a substitute for emergency care, a necessary procedure or a medication shown to reduce cardiovascular risk.

You do not need to decide which service to request.

Call 1-800-923-7878. Tell the Patient Care Team the diagnosis, the main concern and which cardiology records you have. We will help you prepare for the most useful next step.

What to Expect From a Sunridge Heart-Health Consultation

Your physician reviews the timeline, current symptoms, diagnoses, procedures, medications, supplements, laboratory work and daily goals. The visit is designed to identify priorities, safety issues and realistic opportunities for supportive care.

  1. Before the visit: gather cardiology records, imaging reports, a medication list and recent blood-pressure or laboratory results.
  2. During the visit: discuss symptoms, risk, nutrition, activity, sleep and what is making the current plan difficult.
  3. After the review: receive a prioritized plan with monitoring and coordination needs clearly stated.
  4. At follow-up: reassess symptoms, function, laboratory findings and whether each part of the plan is earning its place.
