DetailsSerotonin, Serum – This test measures the level of serotonin in the blood, which can significantly increase in individuals with carcinoid syndrome. Carcinoid tumors, often linked with Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia (MEN) Types I and II, can cause symptoms like flushing, diarrhea, pain, and more.

What patients is this test right for?This test may be recommended for individuals experiencing symptoms associated with carcinoid syndrome or those suspected of having carcinoid tumors.

What type of sample is required for this test?2 mL serum. Phlebotomy is required.
