Glutathione IV and cancer treatment provide more oxygen to the body in an aerobic environment that promotes healing through detoxification and increases cellular oxygen respiration mechanisms within the body. An anaerobic environment in the body means a lack of oxygen. Many degenerative diseases originate from lack of oxygen to the tissues, such as heart disease, cancers, and osteoporosis, to name a few.
The oxygenated blood allows improvement in the immune function and enhances the body’s own internal ecology to be less susceptible to chronic and degenerative diseases. Oxygen is critical for healing and preventing disease.
Glutathione IV’s with ozonized blood increase superoxide dismutase and glutathione that helps facilitate liver detoxification from various chemicals. Transient increases of IL-6, IL-2, and TNF are seen in immunomolecular markers in the blood, which enhances the immune system. The reinfused blood also helps increase peripheral blood circulation as it relaxes blood vessels via nitric oxide.
This effect increases circulation to the extremities, and patients often notice an increase in the warmth of their hands and feet. This ozonized blood has an action that allows the body to carry and deliver oxygen.
Glutathione is a protein composed of three amino acids and is produced primarily in the liver. It’s involved in the body’s defense system, helping to neutralize harmful free radicals and eliminate toxins. It’s also involved in DNA synthesis, immunity and is a necessary component for a number of the body’s detoxification processes, as well as other processes.
Higher levels have been linked to better health and longevity, while lower levels are associated with conditions such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, cataracts, memory loss, and Parkinson’s disease.
Glutathione plays a crucial role in the body’s immune defenses. A loss of glutathione leads to an increased susceptibility to free radicals while increased levels protect us from the effects of a variety of toxic substances. Glutathione, however, is difficult to absorb orally and is best administered either via aerosol administration or intravenously thru IV.
Numerous studies support glutathione IV and cancer supplementation for cancer treatment patients. In addition to its antioxidant properties, immune support, and detoxification, glutathione supports those patients undergoing conventional therapies.

At Sunridge Medical our integrative approach allows us to ‘bridge the gap’ between alternative medical care and conventional medical treatment. Our expertise, personalized care, research, and approach to treatment, provide us greater insight into understanding every individual’s needs to obtain the highest quality of life. The Immune System is the body’s best defense against cancer. Natural Killer Cells (NK Cells) are an important component of the immune system and function specifically to seek out and destroy cancer cells.
Research suggests that a compromised immune system is a major contributor to the development of cancer. Based on this information, a new area of study is emerging called Cancer Immunotherapy, which focuses on using the immune system as an effective way to eradicate cancer.

Glutathione and Chemotherapy – Glutathione offers protection against the side effects of both radiation and chemotherapy. In one trial, patients receiving glutathione suffered less post-radiation therapy diarrhea and were more likely to complete their entire treatment cycle. As for chemotherapy, trials have shown that when coupled with Cisplatin, there was a significant reduction in nephrotoxicity in patients with ovarian cancer, as well as a greater tumor response. Glutathione also appears to protect patients from developing neuropathy from their chemotherapy treatments.
Studies and Research – In a Japanese trial, 3 of 6 carcinoma patients had either tumor regression or stagnation of tumor growth after glutathione therapy. In another study, glutathione resulted in the regression of liver tumors and increased survival rates.
